After you have contacted us expressing an interest in your child attending the nursery, we will offer you an opportunity to come and look around the nursery where a member of management will be able to answer any questions you may have. From this if you are happy to register your child with us, we will ask you to complete the registration form and return it to us at their earliest opportunity. If this is not possible, we can post a registration form out to you. We will also require a copy of your child's birth certificate and some proof of your address. If this is not possible, please speak to management to arrange alternative documentation.

Once the form has been received by us, you will receive an email from a company called Famly. This email will contain a link to set up your account with Famly. Famly is a nursery management software which helps us to communicate with parents, invoice and store data. It also is where you will need to continue the registration process. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the welcome pack you will have been given with your registration forms.

Once you have set up your account on Famly, you will be sent a letter with the time and date for a home visit. A home visit consists of a member of management and your childs key worker visiting you and your child at home. This enables management to chat to you and answer any questions you may have, whilst the key worker gets to know your child and their interests.

After the home visit has been completed, settling in sessions at the nursery will be arranged. This consist of you and your child coming to the nursery for a 1 hour stay and plays. The child's key worker will be present and will stay with you and your child whilst you are in the nursery. We can arrange as many of these sessions as your child requires.

The next stage of our settling in process includes your child coming to nursery for a 1 hour stay and play without you present. Once this process has been completed and the child is showing signs of being comfortable and happy in the nursery environment, they are able to attend their full sessions.

This whole process can take some time. Children are all very different and your child's key worker will work with you and your child to make this as easy as possible. We will also seek your permission to contact any previous childcare settings your child has attended to help us build a fuller picture of your child to help them to settle faster. If you are due to return to work, we recommend starting this settling process as soon as possible.
