We are responsible for our world…

Here at Peekaboo we are trying to minimise our impact on the environment and teach the children who we care for better habits than we were taught.

Here are just some of the ways we are doing this:

  • we use biodegradable nappies that biodegrade within 4 years

  • We use reusable wet wipes for faces and bottoms

  • Our cleaning products are eco friendly and we use refillable bottles

  • We do not use disposable gloves of aprons

  • We recycle and teach children by having recycling bins in all rooms

  • We conduct litter picking regularly with the children at our local parks

  • We limit the plastic we use including using glass wear for drinking cups

  • Parents are asked to supply reusable wet bags for soiled clothes so we do not use disposable plastic nappy sacks

  • We use biodegradable nappy sacks when necessary but still limit the use

  • We have our milk delivered in glass bottles

  • Our fruit and vegetables for snacks are plastic wrapping free and locally sourced

  • We source 2nd hand resources where possible to limited our impact
